Praia do Forte, Brazil

Praia do Forte is the first Eco-Resort of Brazil on the east coast of the state of Bahia and is located in 155,000 square miles of natural beauty. Notoriously difficult to get a booking in the resort itself, hitch a lift or take a taxi up the coast a bit to one of the fabulous little villages nestled on the coastline and check into a little pousada overlooking the beach. With kilometre after kilometre of beautiful sandy beaches and rugged coastline you'll feel like the only person alive on the planet and can sit for hours watching the odd surfer or fisherman going about their business. And after a relaxing day what better way to kick-back than head to a scrumptous meal at a local restaurant or for drinks at a bar. It was once said that if the Bahians aren't partying they are rehearsing for one and let it be said they'll show you a good time wherever you find yourself.
