Tica London opened for business in June 2006.

The Tica idea came about after we, the original Tica girls, took a trip to Brazil to celebrate our 30th birthdays. Travelling just in time for carnival in February we found it near impossible to find a summer wardrobe suitable for our holiday. However, once in Rio we were taken aback by the range of stylish, fashionable Brazilian bikinis and beachwear. If there is something that Cariocas know best it is how to dress for the beach!

We decided then and there that we had to bring the energy and spirit of South American beach life back to the UK - and Tica London was born!

Our name 'Tica' comes from Costa Rica, which boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. A 'Tica' is a girl originally from the Central American country and you will hear the locals ask 'Esta Tica?' as you stroll along the beach.

We hope that Tica London inspires everyone to look and feel fabulous on their holiday, whether it's in one of our designer bikinis or kaftans or any of our other products.....so spoil yourself a little and bring out the Tica girl in you!
